Dance Camp Co-Directors

Annemiek Gersten

Annemiek Gersten has been a Director or Administrator for Brant Lake Dance Camp over the past 28 years.

"Mieks", as she is known around camp, went to the High School for Performing Arts before graduating from NYU. A youth actor in film and TV, Mieks has been attending summer camps all her life. She is a mother of two (now adult) children and wife of Brant Lake Camp Director Rich Gersten. Her hobbies include jogging, dancing and going to the theater.

 
Rachel Kerchman

"Kerch", as everyone calls her, first came to Brant Lake Dance Camp as a young camper when she was 12 years old. After finishing her camper days, she stayed on with us during subsequent summers as a Junior Counselor, Counselor, Head Counselor and Assistant Director, before becoming a Co-Director in 2011.

Kerch holds a BA from Bucknell University where she minored in Dance and was a member of the Bucknell Dance Company for 4 years. In addition to performing each semester, she also choreographed two pieces for the main stage.

Kerch works year round for Brant Lake Dance Camp but also teaches math and is the Dean of Students for the 10th grade at Glenelg Country School in Maryland. She is due to receive her MA in Teaching from Johns Hopkins in 2012.
